REQUIREMENTS
Applications not meeting these requirements will not be accepted.
- Applicants must be a senior and must live in and attend school in the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce service area (virtual school and home school students included).
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above throughout the entire school year. Grades will be checked at mid-term. Failure to maintain a 3.0 will result in elimination from the program.
- Must complete application and provide a photo.
- Must provide current copy of official transcript.
- Must provide one letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach or school administrator.
- Accompanying application must be an essay answering the question, “Why I want to be a Junior Ambassador.” (essay should be no more than one page, typed).
- Must provide a completed Parental permission form.
- Application must be completed online. Hard or emailed copies will not be accepted. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
Those selected to be Millbrook Area Chamber Junior Ambassadors will be notified the following week and will be expected to attend an orientation session (date TBD). Parents or guardians are also invited to attend the orientation.
Attendance Policy
In order to be eligible to sit for a scholarship interview at the end of the program, each Junior Ambassador must achieve 20 points from the following activities:
- Attend all Junior Ambassador meetings – 5 points
- Fulfill 2 assignments (e.g. volunteer for Boo Festival, Fall Clean-up, etc.) – 5 points
- Attend ECPS Morning Brew – 5 points
- Attend Civic Leaders Breakfast – 5 points
- Attend and complete evaluation for Job Shadow Day – 5 points
Millbrook Area Chamber Junior Ambassador Attire
Junior Ambassadors are expected to wear their JA polo shirts with khaki’s or black pants to all meetings, assignments, and events.
