I was born and raised in Selma, Al. My family moved to Millbrook 11 years ago. My husband Troy and I have three sons ages 26, 22 and 13. I quickly became involved in the community as soon as we moved here. I am the Business Development Manager for Rehab Associates physical therapy. I love that my job allows and encourages me to participate in community events. I have formed many new relationships while being on the Board of Directors. I am excited for the future of Millbrook and the direction it is headed in. It is a pleasure to serve this wonderful community.

Marjorie Bowden

MLB Enterprises

Marjorie Lynn Bowden is a 35-year retired DoD Civilian. She is the owner of M-L-B Enterprises that offer End-of-Life Doula, Biblical Counselor and Life Coach services focusing on caregiving, death planning, and support to grievers. She is an instructor with The Whole Self Ministries Institute of Caregiving, Grief, and Transition. Marjorie is an author with an MPA and Doctorate of Biblical Studies and is the President of the nonprofit organization, Alpha Love 2 Life. She currently serves on the boards of Pink and Pearls for Girls and All Collaborating to Serve-Community Development Corporation.  She has three sons and five grandchildren.

Jamie Brown is the Vice President Relationship Development for MAX Credit Union.  Her primary role is to provide personalized service and represent MAX across their footprint.  And like MAX, community matters to Jamie, too!  She is very involved with the MAX4Kids Foundation, Millbrook Chamber Board, Prattville-Millbrook Sunrise Rotary Club, SHRM Montgomery, PRCA Montgomery, River Region United Way and MACOA. #whereintheworldisjamieb

I grew-up in the greater Autauga /Elmore County area. I attended both public and private schools and graduated from New Life Christian Academy in 1985. I grew-up working in my family’s auto body repair business in Prattville from 1978 to 1994, I learning the value of customer service, hard work and responsibility. I served in the Alabama Army National Guard from 1985 to 1992 and Army Ready Reserve from 1992 to 1994.  I attended college at both Catonsville Community College Catonsville, MD and A.U.M Montgomery, AL.   I married my wonderful wife Patricia Fales (Mrs. Pat) an educator in Prattville for over 25 years in June 1989. We have two wonderful daughters that both attended and graduated from Stanhope Elmore High school and Faulkner University with bachelor degrees and our oldest will graduate from Pharmacy School at Auburn University in May 2019 with her PharmD.  My Retail career began in Wetumpka AL in August 1995 with Renters Choice/Rent-A-Center where I turned around a failing store (460) into one of the corporations top 10 performing stores. I was promoted to Regional Manager and relocated to Orlando FL where I managed 8 stores and 48+ employees from 1997 to 2002. I left Rent-A-Center to be Operations Manager for a Colortyme Franchise in Pennsylvania from 2002 to 2003. In August 2003, after my father’s death I returned home to be near my mother and family and founded U Can Rent, Inc. in 2003 and Family Home Furniture in 2018 to serve the greater tri-county community located in the city of Millbrook, Al.

I am Ingrid Graves, owner of The Sweet Carte LLC. I try my best to give each Client a unique, personal bakery experience. I want them to feel that they are receiving something special, so I always try to put my passion for what I do into each dessert for each person.

Ann Harper

Economic Development Director
City of Millbrook

Ann is the Economic Development Director for the City of Millbrook. Prior to her job with the City, she worked with the Alabama Wildlife Federation.  Ann’s favorite part of her job is building relationships that will help advance the City’s economic growth.  Ann is an Auburn University graduate.  She is a member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama and serves on the Boards of the Elmore County Economic Development Authority and the Montgomery Area Mental Health Authority.

Kevin Kelley

Kevin was born and raised in Millbrook. He graduated from AUM in 2006 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He is the Service Manager for Garner Electric in Millbrook and has been with the company for 20 years. He and his wife, Staci, have been married for 13 years and have three beautiful daughters who all attend Millbrook Schools.

Janet Krantz

Rev. Janet Krantz is pastor at Robinson Springs Church in Millbrook. Though Janet has been serving in the Millbrook community for 5 years, Robinson Springs has been a light of faith in Millbrook for 193 years! Janet and husband Andy have 3 grown children, 2 dogs, and love the people of Millbrook. Janet is a part time graduate student at Asbury Theological Seminary and is involved in many activities in the area. Her life desire is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and bring his light and love to all she encounters.

Scott Lee

Scott Lee is the Director of Information System for Central Alabama Electric Cooperative. Since graduating from Auburn University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, Scott has held technology and communication related jobs for over 35 years.  Starting at Central Alabama Electric Cooperative in 2000 he progressed from Computer Specialist to Network Administration to Manager of Information Technology and is currently the Director of Information Systems at Central Alabama Electric Cooperative. Scott is charged with creating and maintaining secure highly functional information systems to support CAEC employees thereby supporting the CAEC members. At each of the jobs he has held prior to CAEC, he has either upgraded existing networks or designed and implemented new ones to assist employees serve their customers or members. Scott holds various advisory board positions with several software companies and technology industry workgroups using those positions to help with decisions on the direction of technology. Scott also is a member of the Millbrook Alabama Chamber of Commerce working to grow and enhance business in the local community.

Steve Mullis started his Insurance Career in 2002. He started working for Liveoak Insurance Agency in 2020 and he specializes in Insurance for the Construction Industry. He is the President of the Montgomery Independent Insurance Agents Association and is also very active with the Alabama Home Builders Association serving on the local and state levels. He is a faithful member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Holtville and also resides in Holtville. Steve is married to Cindy Mullis who is also in the Insurance Industry and has 4 Children and 2 Grandchildren.

Penny Nichols

Penny has a Masters of Science in Justice and Public Safety.  She and her husband, Jimmy Sutherland started Advance Appraisal Services in 1998, moving the business to Millbrook in 2003.  Even still, Penny worked in the legal field until 2007 before moving to AAS full time.  She became a certified residential real property appraiser in 2009.  Penny is a member of Coosada Baptist Church, Millbrook Civitan Club, and the Millbrook Revelers. She currently serves on the boards of the Millbrook Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Adjustments and Butterfly Bridge Child Advocacy Center.

Yvette is the Branch Manager/Mortgage Loan Officer for SouthPoint Bank.  She has been in the Mortgage Business for over 20 years.  Yvette loves to help Home Owner’s and Perspetive Home Owner’s understand the Mortgage process while giving them Superior Customer Service and The Best Rates in the River Region.  Yvette is a Graduate of Troy University Montgomery.  She is a Member of the Montgomery Area Association of Realtors and The Mortgage Bankers Association of Alabama.  Yvette is the mother of 3 children and they all attended the Millbrook School System.  She is also the grandmother to 10 wonderful Grandchildren. 

DJ Taylor

DJ Taylor is the Practice Administrator for River Region Vision Source in Millbrook and Greenville. His background in Business and twenty plus years experience in the eye care field have helped him to bring the best eye care solutions to our area. DJ also works as a practice management consultant with other eye care facilities in Central and South Alabama. DJ has a passion for team development and helping businesses grow and prosper.
Previously DJ has been an ambassador with the Prattville Chamber of Commerce and is the current President of the Historic South Hull District Association. In his free time DJ enjoys traveling with his husband Trey and relaxing by the pool with friends and family.

Jaclyn Taylor presently serves as assistant principal at Stanhope Elmore High School. Her passion and purpose is to assist 9th grade students in the transition from middle to high school. Jamal Thomas is the Publisher and CEO of Gumptown Magazine, a local urban business directory based in Montgomery, AL. Launched in 2011, Gumptown Magazine helps market small and minority owned businesses and provides the latest in grassroots community news. Jamal earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Alabama State University in 2007 and a M.B.A. from South University in 2009. A native of Cleveland, OH, Jamal is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Montgomery Capital Rotary club, and a graduate Leadership Montgomery Class XXXIII.
