MACC MISSION
The mission of the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce is to serve member businesses by promoting community prosperity through access to leaders, relationships, business education and development.
MACC AMBASSADOR DUTIES
- To assist with ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, grand openings, serving as host/hostess at Chamber functions.
- To deliver new member packets.
- To attend all Ambassador meetings.
- To represent the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce with dignity and respect both inside and outside of Chamber duties.
AMBASSADOR MEMBERSHIP
- MACC Ambassadors must be affiliated with Chamber business member in good standing.
- Only up to two representatives per Chamber member location shall be considered for membership.
- MACC Ambassador membership can only result from an invitation from the Chamber President & CEO and Chair. Applications may be made to the President & CEO.
- Annual Dues will be $75 due in July of each year.
ATTENDANCE
- All Ambassadors are asked to attend Chamber events.
- Ambassador meetings are held the 3rd Thursday each month at the Chamber office. Each person is responsible for paying for his/her meal.
- Absence from 3 consecutive meetings without an excuse deemed valid shall be construed as a resignation. 5 excused absences, in any sequence, will also constitute a resignation unless cleared by the chair or President & CEO. Absences must be submitted to the President & CEO in advance of meetings to be excused.
RESIGNATIONS
- Resignations must be made in writing and submitted to the President & CEO.
DRESS CODE
- Business attire is required for all ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, grand openings & luncheons.
- MACC Ambassador name tags are issued with the Ambassador’s company printed.
TERMS OF SERVICE
- MACC Ambassadors must serve a minimum of two (2) years.
- MACC Ambassadors may not serve on the Board of Directors for any other Chamber during their MACC Ambassadorship.
- With the exception of the Chair, MACC Ambassadors may not serve on the MACC Board of Directors during their Ambassadorship.
- MACC Ambassadors must be employed by a Chamber member in good standing to remain an ambassador.
- MACC Ambassadors serving as ambassadors of other chambers may not represent any other chamber when attending Millbrook events.
SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
All MACC volunteers and staff are prohibited from the following activities online:
- Making disparaging statements about MACC or its members
- Engaging in inappropriate communications about MACC or its members
- Using the MACC logo to denigrate people or causes
Additionally, all MACC volunteers and staff are expected to conduct themselves in the following manner:
- Be authentic about who you are
- Clarify that your opinions are your own
- Have respect and humility in all communications
- Use good judgement in sharing or passing along information
- Maintain awareness that what you say is permanent and can affect your reputation
RECOGNITION
MACC Ambassadors will have the opportunity to be recognized for their efforts each quarter and fiscal year. This is determined by a point allocated system (shown below). In order to receive credit for events, each individual must sign in on the log.
- Ambassador Meeting – 1 Point
- Attendance at Events (i.e. Chamber Luncheon, Morning or Evening Brew, Golf Scramble, Fishing Tournament, etc.) – 2 Points
- Obtain Donated Item for Event or Recognition – 2 Points
- Ribbon Cutting or Groundbreaking – 3 Points
- Deliver New Member Welcome Decal – 5 Points
- Referring Chamber Members (Must Join for Credit) – 10 Points
- Volunteer at Chamber Events – 12 Points
