About the Artist
Carol Barksdale finds inspiration for her art in travel. Growing up in a military family, she lived all over the world, including Germany, the Philippines, Norway and Rome, Italy. She graduated high school from Marymount International School in Rome, Italy, then returned to the US and completed at the University of Alabama.
Carol is represented by Gallery One Fine Arts in Montgomery, Alabama and has been there since 1973. She taught art in the public schools in Elmore County, Alabama for 25 years, believing art to be a vital part of every student’s education. Carol now teaches art at the Montgomery Armory Learning Arts Center and at the new Art House in Millbrook.
